Shew! Did everyone survive the thunderstorm Thursday night?! Man did we get a lot of rain, felt like I should have built an Ark and put my pups on it because it was a lot of water. The little town of Front Royal was beginning to look like one big pond. Fantasy Land was a lake, the bypass was inoperable, and our basement was a fishing hole! Yup, that’s right we were one of the many that were flooded, which didn’t serve to be such a horrible thing since our basement has needed some attention for a while we have just been putting it off. Well an inch or so of water isn’t something you can ignore so we “SPRUNG CLEANED” this weekend. I say “we” lightly because my amazing husband and his brother were the main clean-up crew while I took care of the regular household items.
Our spring cleaning consisted of ripping out carpets, heavy, wet carpets, removing old furniture, vacuuming up water, and we are currently deodorizing due to the stench of standing water, no fun! Our basement looked like a collection of various hand-me-down furniture. Nothing against hand me downs but it just didn’t match and as you can see we had multiple of things (TV). The photos below are of the second trip to the dump, hubby was to quick and I didn’t get many photos 🙁 not even a before photo so I can’t share that with you but I plan to document and share the rest of the adventure. Step is complete, out with the old, now onto cleaning, and deciding what we want and how we want to decorate!
Besides the spring cleaning, Warren County had their Prom at Bowling Green on Saturday and I had the luxury of seeing all of these beauties off before they danced the night away. Aren’t these dresses stunning and these girls gorgeous. Thanks so much for stopping by on your big night!
Notice my little middle brother in the photos. I can’t believe this was his senior prom, he is so grown up and handsome! He cleans up nicely!
I have more to share but I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much gorgeousness! This week we are putting the final touches on the new logo and branding. Be on the lookout for some great surprises next week!
