6 Pastures in Winchester, Virginia did it again! Sally and Bradley wanted a low-key, secluded venue for their guests to have a get down and have a good time. Their guests flew from as far away as Germany to attend the wedding so the idea of a wedding weekend was huge! Sally and Bradley focused on the important aspects and made things simple so they could fully embrace the day and be present.
Below are some choices they made to complete the wedding of their dreams:
- Wedding Weekend Venue – 6 Pastures has a package that is from Friday-Sunday. This allows for rehearsal and decorating to occur on Friday. Saturday is a full wedding day starting with hair and makeup. Sunday can be utilized as a send off brunch and clean-up. This allows for less stress because there is more time to get everything prepared and cleaned up, which means more time to enjoy the big day!
- Day of Coordinator/Planner – Andrea at Michelle’s Main Events coordinated Sally and Bradley’s wedding by ensuring all vendors were informed of the events and times. She moved guests smoothly from the ceremony to cocktail hour and then the reception. She ensured dinner was served in a timely and organized fashion while answering any questions from the guests.
- First Look – Sally and Bradley saw one another privately which allowed for them to gush over one another.
- Formal Photos before Ceremony – The first look gave Sally and Bradley the opportunity to take all wedding party and family photos prior to the ceremony and gave them time during cocktail hour to spend alone together, bride and groom photos and attend cocktail hour.
- Something Borrowed Blooms – My first experience with this company and from my perspective a genius business idea. These are fake flowers but they don’t look fake at all, see for yourself. The couple submits their request for florals, the florals arrive in boxes (no water or fuss), the florals are used on the wedding day and then returned. An eco-friendly option with little to no waste!
- Ceremony performed by good friend – Nothing more special than a close friend to perform your ceremony and add special touches like sentiments, stories, and moments to make the ceremony more personal.
- Cupcakes – No need to cut a cake or serve slides, they simply opened the desserts and allowed guests to grab a cupcake!
- Hands Down Amazing DJ – Jean had guests on the dance floor from the introduction all the way to the last song. He rotated different genres of music that everyone enjoyed including grandma! No bigger compliment for a DJ than to have a full dance floor from start to finish!
Some of my favorites moments were Sally’s family especially her nana who came all the way from Germany. The spoke Germany throughout the day and it took me right back to my last trip to Germany! Her dad reminded me of my late grandfather with his look, smile and accent. Sally and Bradley’s best man and maid of honor speeches were hands down the best I have ever heard, I wish I had recorded them. Above all, Sally and Bradley were very present and in the moment all day! They planned the perfect wedding day and I didn’t want to leave at the end of the night!
