The Virginia Arboretum in May was the perfect location for Jordan and Kevin’s engagement session. We had mid 70s weather with a breeze which is unheard of in Virginia in the Spring with no humidity. But these two got lucky and we had an amazing evening full of fields of flowers, dreamy sunsets and more!
Jordan and Kevin are both in public service. Kevin is a Special Agent for VA State Police and Jordan is a WIC nutritionist at VA Department of Health. They both work to serve and protect the public and if that doesn’t speak to their heart than I don’t know what would. The way these two are with one another is adorable. They simply look at one another and start to giggle!
I love love stories where best friends make the introduction which is exactly the case for Jordan and Kevin. Their best friends introduced them to one another. They then had their first date at the Green Turtle for dinner and drinks. Jordan recalls feeling nervous but also at ease and comfortable.
Jordan knew Kevin was the one when she realized she didn’t have to pretend in front of him about anything. She could be herself, always feels comfortable and never wants to be without him. So when they went to Disney World for a vacation, one of Jordan’s favorite places, Kevin took the opportunity to ask her to be his wife.
Jordan and Kevin had dinner reservations at 7:55 p.m. at Be Our Guest Restaurant. The Magic Kingdom closed at 8 p.m. so once they were done with dinner, there was only a handful of people left walking around. They slowly made their way back to the front of the park to leave. Kevin offered to take photos of Jordan, which he doesn’t typically do apparently. After Kevin took a photo of Jordan in front of Cinderella’s castle, he got down on one knee and proposed! Jordan recalls it being perfect, truly magical and a dream come true!
I hope the Virginia Arboretum was just as magical with the fields of flowers but I know doesn’t have the enchantment of Disney!
