Cullers Overlook was the perfect location for Sara and James’ intimate mid-week micro wedding! Sara and James enjoy hiking and just being outdoors around a camp fire so the overlook at the Shenandoah State Park was perfect. Cullers Overlook has amazing views of the mountains and river but also camping. Above all, Sara and James love camping together! They have a travel trailer and love to go on adventures even if only an hour or two from home almost every weekend.
James had planned to propose while on a camping trip but their Spring reservations were all cancelled due to COVID. He didn’t want to wait so he proposed while they were at home lounging in the backyard enjoying each others company. These two could not be more laid back and go with the flow!
It was the perfect wedding day for these two nature lovebirds. They started their day with an adventure to include some food, a hike, and spending quiet quality time together. These two exchanged vows surrounded by their closets friends and family, thirteen of them to be exact. Sara and James choose an intimate wedding because they wanted it to be focused on them, their love for one another, nature, and their families.
After the ceremony we focused on family groupings with lots of combined family groupings because they are all family now! We even prioritized photos with their two pups, Zoe and Kona, who are like their babies! After adventuring a bit in the park for bride and groom portraits we parted ways. But the celebration continued with dinner and cake at the Shenandoah Lodge.
