Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard Virginia Wedding

Pippin Hill is a gorgeous wedding venue near Virginia’s Monticello Wine Trail. The grounds and venue are breathtaking. Therefore, a very popular wedding venue in the photography world. Everyone I know wants to photograph a wedding there. Now I can check this off my bucket list say that I have photographed a wedding there too! Last September a good friend and fellow photography, Candice of Candice Adele Photography had me along as her second photographer.

My day started at the Quirk Hotel in Charlottesville, a boutique hotel, where Meg and her friends enjoyed brunch and champagne. The decor in each room has a different theme. Meg rented The Bobboo Room which is elegant and rich with deep green plants leaf wallpaper, wrap around couches to lounge, and above all, a private bar.

After that, we headed to Pippin Hill. This was my first visit so I only had my romanticized view of the venue. As I drove up, all of the raves made sense. Tucked away, the venue is secluded in the mountains with 360 views. The pathway from the parking lot is lined with huge hydrangea bushes to end at a full view of the venue. In other words, there was not an angle that wasn’t breathtaking!

Both ladies had stunning getting ready rooms at opposite ends of the venue to keep them private until the first look. Meg and Meghan had their first look in the hydrangea walkway where they both got emotional. Meg was able to show off her custom suit jacket complete with photos of their adventures to wedding day! The tears continued through the ceremony as they exchanged vows. Meg and Meghan had an artist there to paint them during the ceremony and finished the piece during the reception.

The white high ceiling barn like ballroom held the reception. Above all, the florals and decor were again elegant and regal. The details were EVERYWHERE! They had a neon sign that said, the Megs! In addition, speciality cocktail drinks, wedding cake, late night snacks, and an antique car to drive them off at the end of the night! It was a long wedding day but so much joy and love that my feet didn’t hurt quite as bad.
