Hair and makeup is another HUGE part of a senior session that can completely alter the overall outcome of your images. I STRONGLY recommend professional hair and makeup to ALL of my clients for SO many reasons, which is why I include professional hair and makeup in my top two packages to give you the full pampering experience. It really does make a HUGE difference.
1. HMUA are TRAINED professionals:
Remember the last time you got your hair cut or styled and you felt like a million bucks and you went home and tried to recreate it the next day….and couldn’t? I don’t know what the secret is or what they put in my hair but I have never been able to recreate how great it looks after leaving the salon. When you invest in a professional photographer, you want to make sure that images look their absolute best. Professional hair & makeup artists are TRAINED to do hair & makeup so that they photograph well. While you may do your own makeup andyou may look AMAZING in person, it will look completely different oon-camera, and these professionals are trained to know the difference! They will conceal spots you don’t like, contour your face so it looks the best in every light, user colors that compliment your skin to make it look flawless, make your eyes POP with shadows, manicure your eyebrows to perfection and more!
2. Less STRESS:
Preparing for your senior portrait session can be stressful in itself. Choosing the perfect outfit, trying to do your hair & makeup by yourself can make things harder. Arrive at your senior session knowing that you have a professional to perfect your look and accent your beautiful features.
3. Who doesn’t like being PAMPERED?
Having your senior portraits done with FFP isn’t simply “taking pictures,” it is an experience. I want it to be a pampering experience all about you! So if your senior portrait session starts off with an hour of being pampered & beautified, the entire experience has already started off good. If you arrive stressed and frantic to finish your look it can affect your experience and how you look in your photographs.
Don’t forget to finish your look by showing your nails some love and pampering them because I will have your hands close to your face and in the frame. Try to avoid any chipped nail polish, crazy patterns or bright colors. French manicures, light/natural and even nails with no color at all photograph best!
