Now that the Class of 2016 has officially closed out their Junior year, it’s time to start thinking about their Senior year. One of the many things, but most fun on the “senior year to-do list” is senior portraits. Senior portraits are probably the furthest thing from your mind at the moment because you haven’t actually started back to school yet…..but your senior year will be here before you know it. I think the summertime is the best time to schedule your session. There are so many perks to scheduling it NOW, here are 5 reasons to do Senior Portraits in the Summer:

The blooms are out, and there is such a variety in the natural elements: fresh green grass, colorful wildflowers, grassy fields. You will have bright, colorful setting for your images that will be sent in announcements next Spring.

Regardless of your goals for the next year, chances are you will need an updated photo. Why not make it a beautiful one, rather than a selfie? There is more availability of appointments because the students are out of school and I am not as busy with the holiday rush. Deep into the school year, students get busier and busier with jobs, sports, after-school activities, volunteer work (for that college resume, ya know!), etc…   And by the time Spring rolls around…the year-end activities and commitments are countless!! In the slower season, we can spend time and plan your session and make it more personal to you.

BRAGGING RIGHTS! Your Senior Portraits are the highlight of your posting this year. People love to flip through everyone else’s photos. Why not be one of the first?
