When we first went to look at our home to purchase it we fell in love but had a laundry list of to-dos, wants, needs, wishes and hopes for it. We knew we could improve our home to make it all that much more perfect for us. Some projects were on a bigger scale than others and some projects just required us to put in some TLC. I hate to say that life flies and gets the best of you but in this case it did. We have lived in our home for 3+ years now and this is our first project. We have had some busy years with college, wedding planning and everyday life. So we finally took the step and got a new fence.
The fence we had was old, loose, uneven, and hideous. Our neighbor told us the fence had been there for 15+ years so it was time for a change. Not to mention our boys gave it a run for it’s money these last few years. As you can see from the photos we had many issues with the old fence and made make shift repairs. We knew for our sanity and the security of our boys we needed to update it.
So we called none other than my dad! He does amazing work and we will have him do many more projects for us because I couldn’t be happier with his work. You won’t find him relaxing on the couch on the weekends, he will be in the yard working on yet another project around his house. The man doesn’t know how to relax but therefore he has a goregous home and many reasons to be proud of himself. He is very skilled with his hands and can craft anything with a proper description. We were so excited to have our fence put up and I ensured we captured photos along the way. I only wish I had photos of him doing the work but he came during the day while we were at work. 🙁
Here are some photos of the fence before :-/
And then the work began…
It all started from this post next to our front gate!
So without further ado our new fence…
Isn’t it beautiful?! I absolutley love it. It is gorgeous, so nice, new, and sturdy.
The fence isn’t finished yet. We still have to stain it so it stays pretty for a long long time (more photos to come). But here are photos of the boys happy as could be in their beautifully fenced in yard done by their grandpa. Thanks grandpa!
