I have started and rewrote this blog numerous times. I just can’t seem to find the right start to how excited I am today to celebrate our 5 year togetherness anniversary! Your probably saying to yourself that I am crazy for still celebrating our togetherness anniversary. We are married and have a wedding anniversary but any reason to celebrate and gloat about my husband is a reason enough for me!
The last five years have been exciting, overwhelming, joyous, and eventful to say the least. TJ has been by my side through some of the biggest events in my life; graduating from Shenandoah and starting a business (2 biggest ones). Not to mention the many changes we underwent together as a couple. We’ve bought a house, make it a home, changing careers, balancing work and life, being a mom and dad to Dean and Leonard, and being an active friend, sister/brother, daughter/son to our families. We have had our share of ups and downs just like any couple, but we don’t like to broadcast it so you don’t typically hear about it. I like to talk about the fun and happy things that takes place in our lives, and maybe some minor mistakes/setbacks (car accident).
I know it is cliché but I am the luckiest girl in the world to call TJ my best friend, husband, partner and confidant. He is everything that I have ever wanted/needed and more in a partner. We balance and compliment each other very well, I am an organized planner and is an unorganized procrastinator. I am on time or early to places and he is late. I am able to get ready in 15 minutes and he is in the bathroom for an hour. Some of these things cause issues in our relationship as you can imagine. But in the end it truly helps us be better selves and a better spouse.
TJ may not be on time, or take too long in the bathroom to get ready but he truly loves me unconditionally and that is all that I can ask for. He supports me in all of my crazy dreams and is proud of my accomplishments. TJ holds me when I am upset and reassures me that everything will be alright. He always makes me laugh with his silly behavior, jokes or comments. He spoils me in the smallest ways that mean so much. A cute teddy bear with a scarf, just because. I couldn’t imagine the last five years with anyone else and I haven’t looked back since we met. He is my one and only. I can’t wait to see what another five years with this man will bring.
I love you Thomas Curry! Happy Five Year Togetherness Anniversary!
