I am sitting here the day before Thanksgiving working from home drinking my coffee in my PJ’s, watching it snow! I am so lucky and blessed to have amazing friends, family and clients in my life. One thing you should never take for granted is family, I don’t have a large family but we are a tight-knit family. We are always there for one another no matter what and have fun when we get together.

A few weeks ago (when it was still warm) we got together with the amazing Jessica Simpson of Jessica Simpson Photography to have our portraits done. It isn’t always easy getting everyone together with different schedules and busy lives but we try to make it a point to get a family portrait done every year. It is so great to see our group grow, in our case we added 2 members last year with the addition of my husband and my sister-in-law and this year we added our first grandchild, Rylee. We are all so blessed. I am so excited to see if grow over the next few years and see how everyone changes.

If you haven’t had portraits done in a while be sure to do it, it is so important and exciting for future generations to reflect on. I know it isn’t ideal to think about right now as the snow is accumulating outside but come Spring, schedule a session with your photographer and capture where your family is today! I hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving, be cautious in your travels and don’t eat too much.
