The Blue Ridge Parkway is where Steven and Meredith spent many weekends adventuring so engagement photos at Ravens Roost Overlook only made sense. These mountains are where Meredith used to hike almost every weekend with friends and even Steven.
These two met one anther while working at Dominos in Bridgewater. Meredith was asked to transfer stores to help a struggling store. A friend and coworker introduced Steven to Meredith when she worked one evening shift. Meredith was informed that if she needed anything or needed to know anything about the store, to ask Steven. They became friends over many long shifts, and countless hours of team building events.
So it only makes sense that their first date started when Steven was leaving work one day and mentioned a Hispanic restaurant. He asked Meredith if she would like to go, to which Meredith responded she would think about it. Thankfully, she thought about and later that evening she sent Steven a message saying she would like go. Thank goodness!
After thinking about it, Steven decided to switch the plan and take Meredith to his favorite bar downtown in Harrisonburg, Jack Brown’s. They talked, had a great meal, a few drinks and spent the evening getting to break the work mold and really got to know one another and each others stories.
That first date turned into many more dates. Many of which still consist of repeat dinners at Jack Browns. So between Jack Browns and the Blue Ridge Parkway, these two know how to have a good time! Ravens Roost Overlook also didn’t disappoint. It is by far the prettiest overlook for photos, I only wish it was closer. But I sure wish we could have incorporated Jack Brown’s into their engagement session!
