Blandy Farm in the Springtime is so romantic or maybe it’s Maddy and TJ. TJ and Maddy have known one another since high school, but didn’t start dating until after high school. Their first date was at the drive-in movie theater to see “Invisible Man” but “Fast and Furious” played first. Before they could watch “Invisible Man” it started raining. They chose to leave rather than wait it out.
At first, Maddy wasn’t interested in TJ. She didn’t see it going anywhere past their first date but something told her to stick it out. She noticed that he didn’t stop treating her like a priority.
TJ is the reason that Maddy became closer to God. One day, Maddy was at church near her college and they were worshiping. During a song, she felt like God was talking to her, saying “He’s the one, your partner for life. I have made him for you and you for him. Do not worry, you won’t be hurt again.” That’s when she knew TJ was the one.
However TJ felt like they clicked right off the bat. He said Maddy is the only person he’s ever been able to be himself around except for family. When they both got sick with COVID, TJ’s feelings were reinforced. They spent three weeks taking care of one another and it gave him a glimpse into what life with Maddy could be like.
After that it was no surprise when these two started chatting about a wedding and searching for an engagement ring. One day when “looking” at rings Maddy found the one that she loved. Little did she know TJ went back the very next day to buy it. TJ kept the ring a secret for 3 months. He told everyone including her family, Maddy’s best friend, and people at his work. Everyone knew except Maddy!
He caught her off guard by proposing at his birthday party in front of both families. The proposal was perfect, intimate and small. They are perfect for one another. Their engagement session at Blandy Farm was so much fun and I know their wedding will be even more of that with their families!
