Blandy is a favorite venue in the Shenandoah Valley! Sara selected it because she wanted engagement photos in front of the iconic building. It’s one of my favorite spots too so I understand. Sara was the winner of an engagement session from the Winchester Bridal Expo. I loved getting together with her and her fiance, Hely. These two are so adorable. They met through friends in college with what started out as a friendship and eventually turned into a relationship.

As Sara would say it, they have done things a bit backwards and non-traditional but it works for them. They have two children and it was at the gender reveal of their second child where Hely proposed. It was a small intimate family gathering and it was an easy “YES” for Sara. An already celebratory event to find out the gender of your baby added a bit more celebration by being an engagement party. There is nothing more special than having your family at your proposal and sharing in the excitement. Although Sara and Hely don’t have a wedding day selected yet, I know their wedding day will be amazing! Take a peek at their super sweet engagement session at Blandy!
