Brittany and Dillon’s intimate backyard wedding is unlike anything I have ever seen before! They were married at Brittany’s parents home, which is immaculate. Although this wasn’t their original plan, it should have been! The backyard is what you see in magazines and drool over. Their wedding day could not have been any smoother or better. We were ahead of schedule ALL DAY!
The day started very relaxed, excited and fun! I photographed their details which were elegant with a hint of gold accents! The girls were getting pampered with hair and makeup and the guys were spending time together! Everyone was having a good time and enjoying the day which is what wedding days should be!
Brittany got in her dress and Dillon in is his tux so they could share in a private first look! Brittany holds a special place in her heart for two men so she wanted to do a first look with both. First up was her dad, he had not seen Brittany all dressed up yet so we did a reveal for him. There were tears and I even started to cry, it was the sweetest! She gifted her dad a set of custom cufflinks and her mom a pair of ear rings. Then the reveal came with Dillon and he couldn’t stop smiling. He told me before hand he wouldn’t get emotional but that he would just smile bigger and that he did!
One of the benefits of a first look is that we can do all of the photos with the bridal party before the ceremony. So Brittany and Dillon invited their bridal party to their first look location to get their portraits! This group was so much fun and GORGEOUS! Since both sets of parents were there as well, we made sure to grab them a photo too! Brittany and Dillon have great role models because both sets of parents have been married 30ish years!
The ceremony was setup in the front yard and held by the funniest pastor! Dillon could barely wait to say “I do” but they exchanged vows and were married after many laughs and smiles! Then the party started, this bridal party came to dance and they left it all on the dance floor! We ended the evening with a sparkler exit and a full cup. These two are destined for great things and I am so honored I was able to capture the start of their marriage!
