Bowling Green Country Club and the mild temperature on a Friday was the perfect combination for Ashley and Steve’s wedding. Friday morning I received a text from Steve and his excitement radiated through my phone. I told him, you are going to be a husband by the end of the day and his response was, “can’t wait.” From the moment I arrived at Bowling Green I could feel so much warmth and friendliness. The room was filled with love and willingness to help. Everyone that knows Ashley and Steve did everything they could to make their day as perfect as possible and it was!
The wedding brought two families from different states together. Steve is from Pennsylvania and met Ashley a girl from Front Royal, Virginia during his time at Virginia Tech. If you let their best man and maid of honor tell it, they were destined to be together from the beginning. They noticed one another but were too nervous to make the first move. Thankfully they had friends who helped these two connect and they have been inseparable ever since. Read more about their story, here.
Now they are husband and wife! Ashley and Steve wanted a relaxed wedding day and that is just what they got. They started the morning separately getting ready with their bridal parties. Then choose to do a first look, first Ashley with her father and then with Steve. The first looks with the two most important men in her life were perfect. It is the most precious time you will have on a wedding day. Ashley’s dad couldn’t stop grinning from ear to ear as he saw his baby girl all dressed up for her wedding. Then, the first look with Steve is by far one of my favorites as his facial expression said everything. He excitement was undeniable.
Ashley and Steve exchanged personal vows surrounded by their friends and family at the arbor. Their vows included comments about the Avengers, Marvel fans! These two danced the night away after they were announced husband and wife with a few surprises. Ashley and her dad started off with their father-daughter dance and then broke out into an adorable duo. The photos won’t do it justice however the videographer’s footage will! Ashley’s best friend and Steve’s brother gave the sweetest speeches that truly spoke to who these two are.
They are a dynamic duo that I only wish the best for. Thank you both for allowing me the honor to be a part of your special day and your story! I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
