Stone House Manassas Virginia Engagement

Stone House in Manassas Virginia had the best golden hour for Courtney and Weston’s engagement session. But, their pup, Benelli stole the show. I met Courtney when she was the maid of honor for her sister and I thought she was equally gorgeous and kind. Their parents raised two amazing daughters who had now both found amazing guys, which I think is every parents hope. Courtney and Weston met in 11th grade history class. Their teacher assigned them seats next to one another and they became friends. Who knew assigned seats was still a thing in 11th grade but thank goodness for that teacher. Courtney and Weston became friends and he started to hang out with Courtney’s brother. Which meant he was around all the time.

It wasn’t long before the friendship turned into something more. About 6 months give or take, because in March of the following year they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Their first date was out to dinner at Sweet Water Tavern. Courtney was playing hard to get because she recalls not feeling a connection between them yet. She said she was playing it by ear and giving it a shot. Thank goodness she did because these two are getting married!

Courtney said she knew Weston was the one when she could act like her goofy normal self around him which made her comfortable. His little gestures would constantly make her have a smile on face. But the biggest smile was on May 16, 2021 when Weston proposed. They recall it being a Sunday, the weather was gloomy with rain in the forecast and they were headed to the lake for the day with friends. Courtney was up early prepping all the essentials for the boat and it felt like any other weekend.

However her best friend, Allie, kept mentioning to Courtney how she wanted to start documenting her life with taking more pictures. So when Allie suggested taking some photos on the back of the boat with one another and then having Weston take a photo with Courtney, she didn’t think anything of it. She actually recalled feeling something in his pocket, thinking it was his wallet, she said to not jump in the water with his wallet. Before she knew it, Weston was down on one knee asking her to marry him on a BOAT. The tears instantly starting rolling and of course the answer was YES!

They are still finalizing their dream wedding day but I know it will be beautiful just like these golden hour photos!
