Manassas Battlefield held all of the fields for Camille and Michael to frolic in for their engagement session. Although neither of us planned for Gale warnings which are high winds within the range of 39-54 mph and we got just that! The wind was CRAZY! But these two came with smiles and excitement even if the wind almost knocked us over a time or two and it was cold.
Camille and Michael met in the summer of 2020 through an online gaming group. It wasn’t until that Fall when Michael asked Camille on a date. They went to a coffee shop across from George Mason University between where they both lived. They enjoyed their coffee while exploring the campus. Camille recalled having a lot of fun and being very comfortable. However, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to continue seeing Michael. Not because it didn’t go well but because she was planning on moving in the spring. Thankfully, she decided to see him again and decided not to move so they officially started dating in October.
It was no surprise when October 2022 came around that Michael was planning to propose on their anniversary. Unfortunately, Camille had a concert she really wanted to attend. Therefore on Sunday, Michael planned a picnic for two. The picnic was at the same place they had their second date, Gravelly Point by National Airport. Camille had an inkling Michael was going to propose so she had been teasing him. However she was still shocked when he stood up. She said she stalled him getting on one knee because she was so overwhelmed. She gave him a big hug while he was doing his proposal speech. Eventually he got down on one knee, pulled the ring out and asked Camille to be his fiancé. She of course said YES!
Collectively, Manassas Battlefield brought together their love for nature with fields to frolic in. We had a plane fly overhead to tie in their second date. The final piece of the puzzle is their wedding this year which falls on a solar eclipse. These two love birds are so adorable, I can’t wait for October!
