Megan and Troy are Junior High sweethearts! Their love story is straight out of a romance novel. They met the summer of Megan’s eighth grade year! A mutual friend Cody introduced the two of them and they hit it off from then. Troy took Megan to the drive-in movie theater for their first date when they were just babies. Both, Megan and Troy recall being very nervous. However here we are 7 years later!
Megan has been head over heels for Troy since they started dating in 2013. She has been saying that they were going to get married from the start because he had every quality that she really looked for in someone as they got older. Obviously in Junior High and High School things could change but Megan realized how serious their relationship was.
After High School they purchased a home together and started their own family when the adopted their two dogs, Ace and Cali, who are now like their children who make a mess with all of their dog hair in the house. But they are Megan and Troy’s world.
Megan describes her proposal as magical! Troy and Megan traveled to Maine back in August with friends and Megan has no idea what was in store for her. Troy had secretly went ring shopping with his friend Cody. Yes, remember the guy that introduced them, well he helped pick out the ring alongside of Megan’s best friend. Troy enlisted the help of the two most important people in their lives to select the ring he would propose to Megan with.
Megan recalls the views to be incredibly gorgeous, the company was fantastic, and the time together was relaxing and peaceful. As if that wasn’t perfect enough, on August 6th, they were all supposed to go out to dinner. Everyone got all dressed up, looking their best for pictures prior to dinner. Everyone was taking photos with everyone while they were all looking their best! Then Troy came out in dress shoes and some clicked for Megan. Apparently Troy does not wear dress shoes so she knew something was up. She instantly got butterflies.
Megan and Troy took a few photos together before Troy got down on one knee and asked Megan to marry him! The sun was setting perfectly in the background, the dock was beautiful and their friends were there to get photos of it all! It had finally happened, Troy ask and Megan said Yes!
Only a week after accepting Troy’s proposal, Megan contacted me for engagement photos. I love her excitement and focus on photography! We did their engagement photos within a month of the proposal and on Megan’s birthday. Now to select a wedding date for these two. I know it is going to be most romantic, loving and family filled wedding!
