Meghan and Corbin love the outdoors so it was only fitting that we went to the Arboretum for their engagement pictures. Although the weather is getting colder we lucked out an had a nice November day. The sun came out to keep us warm and it was peak Fall foliage time, couldn’t have planned it better!
These two met in August of 2014 where they were both coaches for Shenandoah University’s sports teams. It was Meghan’s first all staff meeting. She had previously heard about Corbin through a co-worker so she knew of him but didn’t know what to expect in person but she was excited to finally meet him. Corbin had just gotten back from vacation and a staff meeting was the last place he wanted to be. The pair met, and ended up hanging out with the same group of friends.
They were friends for two years when Meghan received a job in Pennsylvania. They wanted to give dating a try before she left, so they went on their first official date at Cork Street Tavern. She was nervous and had butterflies the whole time since this was the first dinner with just the two of them. Shortly after, it was time for Meghan to start her new job. They spent the next 2 years in a long distance relationship. While most say they were crazy for starting a relationship long distance, it made them confident in realizing what they wanted out of a relationship.
In July of 2018, Meghan made the decision to move back to Virginia. The two of them had talked about marriage. Meghan knew that it would happen one day but she didn’t know when it would happen. The day of the proposal Corbin suggested going on a hike to Piedmont Overlook, a hike they frequent. Once at the overlook, they started taking pictures. That was when Corbin got down on one knee and asked Meghan to, “be his lady.”
Both Meghan and Corbin are Winchester transplants. They are excited to have all of their loved ones in the place they have chosen to call home for the wedding!
