Skyline Ranch Resort was the perfect setting for Leslie and Shawn’s summer wedding! The navy blue and yellow rose accents were nothing short of country elegance. The outdoor ceremony held an aisle lined with yellow roses and baby’s breath. Above all, the handmade arbor at the alter made by the groom himself. Similarly, Leslie’s handmade yellow rose bouquet made by her sister held a gold locket with two photos. Leslie honored her cousin Holly and grandmother who were present in spirit as Leslie married her best friend. These sentimental aspects make me emotional at weddings to know they are missing a loved on their special day.

Shawn and Leslie had the sweetest first look and shared a few minutes together before their guests arrived. However, they wanted those few minutes to be intimate and moment for the two of them to reflect on the day. The day they were to marry one another, their best friend and life partner. Leslie and Shawn included an anniversary box into their ceremony. The anniversary box holds a bottle of wine and two letters. The wine is to be enjoyed as they read the letters written to one another on their first anniversary. These letters will be replaced with new letters to be opened on their second anniversary, as well as a new bottle of wine. This tradition will continue for every anniversary.

Not only is July 15th Leslie and Shawn’s wedding anniversary but also both of their birthday’s! How neat is it to celebrate such special occasions all on the same day? As Leslie and Shawn began cutting their wedding cake, their friends and family sang them Happy Birthday and it was the sweetest moment. In short, it was a day of celebration. Leslie and Shawn are absolutely perfect for one another. Above all, the way they make each other laugh with their silly faces and looks at one another reflects true love.
